Czechoslovakia split into two independent states, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, in 1993. Already after the Velvet Revolution and the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, the Czech Republic moved to a democratic government system. The analysis of this change is important for research, which will be discussed in a comparative aspect with Georgia (as a post-Soviet state, which was declared an independent state at the same time and began to change the government system) within the framework of a wide doctoral research. As the governance system changes, the process of policy planning and implementation changes, and the research will specifically address the issue of gender equality policy. Given the diversity of governance modes, the study will specifically address issues of network governance and meta-governance, and the analysis will be presented in relation to the gender equality policy of the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic is a member state of the European Union since 2004, the result of involvement in the mentioned international organization (as a transnational space with a network governance mode) in relation to gender equality policy will be discussed, through which the main research issue related to the identification of the European Union as a metagovernor in the transnational space and the consequences of inclusion in international networks will be answered.
